KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, Jan. 20, 2024 – Boeing [NYSE:BA] announced today it has acquired Aerospace Composites Malaysia Sdn Bhd (ACM), making ACM the company’s first wholly-owned manufacturing facility in Southeast Asia.

ACM had operated as a joint venture between Boeing and Hexcel Corp until late December 2023 when Boeing completed its acquisition.

ACM supplies composite products and subassemblies used on all current Boeing commercial airplanes.

With support from the Malaysian government and through collaborative university relationships, ACM has grown its permanent all-Malaysian workforce to approximately 1,000 people.

ACM began operations in 2001.
