Over 75 Years of Partnership
Boeing’s long-standing partnership with Southeast Asia dates back to the 1940s when the region’s overall aviation industry was still in its infancy. Throughout the years, Boeing has played a vital role in the development of the region’s aerospace capabilities in the commercial, defense and services sectors.
Boeing continues to invest in Southeast Asia, which remains one of the fastest-growing markets in aviation. Boeing's Commercial Market Outlook forecasts that rising air travel will see the airplane fleet in Southeast Asia growing 5% by 2040, resulting in the demand for more than 4,400 new airplanes valued at $700 billion. Tied to economic and fleet growth, demand for maintenance, repair, overhaul and modifications account for a majority of projected commercial aviation services demand.
